Internship works at Home By CF

Home By CF is a commercial retail venture aim to assist humble homeowners along their journey of creating their beautiful home. They sell products from furniture, stone walls, blinds, customized wallpapers and much more. I was appointed to the company through my school, starting from august 2019, to november 2019. I worked mainly under the graphic designer in house, and assisted her mostly with social media content and loads of photo editing. Here are some of my works which i had compiled in.

To start off, these are the projects that were assigned to me.

The company had an idea of working with local artists by using their artworks and creating it into a wallpaper. My job was to source out any local artist that fits the criteria, and proceeds to liaise with them.

Mostly were from my own personal contacts such as the artist below. I then proceeded to photoshop their artwork into a home template, to see if it works out.

Since the company specializes in customizing wallpapers, i was given an opportunity to design a wallpaper for a client's home. I was told of the wall dimensions and preferred style and in this case, the client would love to have a japanese inspired wave within their home. This were the mock up.

I then proceeded to hand drawn it using illustrator, and changing the brush styles to further give the client more options.

And these are the final look within their home! My first ever wallpaper project, and i feel amazed.

Let's talk about social media! One of my main projects were to create content for their instagram and facebook page. I created a lookbook that consist of 12 different colors of wallpapers. Also since it is a post, i had to come up with creative copywriting in order to explain the wallpaper theme, but also in a fun way to bring in more followers.

In order to gain more followers, i had to make their instagram page active, so i created a series for their instagram highlights ; wallpaper 101

Also within the process of creating the wallpaper lookbooks, i was assigned to also create lookbooks for events such as children's day, deepavali and so on till the end of the year.

For christmas day, i did a flatlay of products that they have, and mixing them up together using the christmas colors.

It was an amazing 4 months, and i had a fun time working with them. From the left is my graphic designer/supervisor as she foresees the work, in the middle is another intern but we were from different course, and to the right that's me. :)
